Ingredients

  • Potato - 2 big


  • Onion - 2 medium


  • Besan / Gram flour / Kadalapodi - 4 tablespoon


  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon


  • Green chilly - 1


  • Red chilly powder - 2 teaspoon


  • Coriander leaves - 1(Optional)


  • Curry leaves - 1 (Optional)


  • Salt - 1


  • Oil - 1 For deep frying

Directions

  • Peel potato and place it in a bowl of water till use to avoid discoloration.
  • Grate potato and squeeze out the moisture.
  • Add salt to the thinly sliced onion and mix well with your hands applying little pressure. This will release the moisture from the onion.
  • Add potato, green chilly, coriander leaves, curry leaves, red chilly powder, garam masala and gram flour. Mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Take a small portion, shape it loosely with your fingers and drop it into the oil.
  • Flip and cook until golden.
